“Movies R Fun”

Josh Cooley is an established artist with Pixar contributing to some of the most popular animated family movies of all time. Back in 2009 however, he spent two years of his spare time giving more adult themed movies an artistic twist. In his book “Movies R Fun”, Josh takes pivotal scenes in R rated movies and illustrates them as if they were pages in a children’s book. The effect is striking – suddenly these violent and uncomfortable scenes are stripped of their menace leaving behind images with charm and humour. Sadly Josh only printed 999 copies of the book and they have long since sold out, but prints are still available to buy on Josh’s website. They’d look great in any child’s nursery.
